New blog layout
Please bear with me while I make a few changes to my blog. I've had a couple of different looks over the last week or so. So far I'm liking the white background the best. Let me know what y'all think.

Love layout
It's been a long time since I had any desire to do a 12x12 layout. I mainly work on mini albums, ATCs and cards. But when I saw this Vintage Valentine paper from Fancy Pants, I thought I'd give it a go.
I made the flower myself from some satin ribbon. It's hard to see but I also have a layer of Bazzill tulle on top of the strip of satin ribbon.
It's a fairly simple layout but I'm pleased with it. I probably won't put it in an album. I'm hoping to find a nice frame to hang it in.
Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine mailboxes
Valentine's Day isn't just for lovers. It's a fun holiday for children too. Every year, I make a Valentine's Day card for my daughters and give them a small little gift and chocolate. This year I decided to do something different. I found the dollar mailboxes at Target, decorated them, and filled them with 14 different notes, fun facts, coupons and more.
I'm excited to watch them read the little surprises each day through Valentine's Day. Once the 14th is over, they can put these cute little mailboxes in their rooms until next year.

One Little Word
...is my one little word for 2010. I chose this word because I feel that by bringing more positive thoughts into my everyday life I can not only make my life better but the lives of others as well. This will directly affect my girls and my husband. And knowing that I am making a difference in their lives gives me motivation. It was hard at first, trying to be so positive. I normally see the glass half empty. But each day it's a little easier to see the positive in things.
I hope you all have your one little word for 2010 and have applied it to your everyday life. Check out Spell With Flickr to transform your one little word into something fun. And in case you haven't heard about one little word, check out Ali Edward's blog.
