Valentine Mini

The holidays are finally done. The Christmas tree and decorations are put away. Our house is back to "normal" for now. What better time to get started on Valentines crafting than now right? I saw this fun mini on a blog by Roxanne Olsen as a Christmas album and decided to make one for Valentines day. Check out Roxanne's blog for a tutorial on how to make this mini album.

The Love stickers and doily heart came from Target. The doily was white but I sprayed it with Pink Bubblegum Glimmer Mist.

I made the black flower out of a velvet ribbon and added the heart brad to the middle.

The clocks, tickets and heart transparency are Teresa Collins. I used a lot of Teresa Collins in this mini. I really love how this isn't a traditional mini. Thanks Roxanne for sharing!

Starbucks cup mini

My mom loves Starbucks so I knew I had to make her a mini when I saw this on Ali Edward's blog. I don't drink coffee and therefore don't frequent Starbucks very often so I had my sister save a cup from one of her visits and this is what I came up with.

Maya Road envelope mini

When I saw the Maya Road envelopes at Anthologies, I couldn't pass them up. They were all so cute! I decided to use them to create a mini album. I used Making Memories Just Chillin' paper and die cuts to cover the envelopes and make the tags. It was a bit of work but I think it was worth it.

My December Daily 09

Just wanted to share a few pictures of my December Daily. After looking at the Flickr group of the December Daily's, I realized that mine is very different from others. I created mine out of lunch bags and I embellished my pages much more than the others. I plan on doing most of my journaling on tags that will slip into the bags.

I used a few different paper lines including Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly, Making Memories Mistletoe, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses and DCWV Christmas paper stack from a couple of years ago.

Earth Love mini

I've had my Earth Love paper for a while but was busy with other things and finally got around to making a mini out of it. I LOVE this line from Cosmo Cricket.

How are the December Daily's coming? I have my pictures printed out but still need to work on the journaling. I know the point is to take time each day to take the photo, print the photo and do the journaling but I'm doing well just getting the pictures taken. =)

A few things I've been working on

My little one is walking now so she's keeping me quite busy. But I have managed to get a few things created. When I started working on my December Daily for this year, I realized that I wanted to create one for last year since that's when Ella was born. So this is what I came up with.

I joined a Christmas Tag swap at Life on the {Scrap}beach .
Below is my creation. I used my Cricut and the Christmas Cheer cartridge to make the tag itself, the tree and the gift. I used stickles to dress up the tree and the ribbon on the gift. Then I embossed the to and from. I'm excited to see what tags I get back!

I have a few other things to share but I'll save them for another post. I hope you all are enjoying this holiday season. I am looking forward to spending time with family and eating good food. =)
