Dear Lizzy & 7 Gypsies

GASC is quickly approaching. My sister-in-law Megan, her aunt and I will be taking a class called Follow Your Bliss Mini Album sponsored by American Crafts. We'll get to play with some Dear Lizzy goodies! I also just found out that T!m Holtz will be at GASC doing demos each day. I'm so excited! All 3 of us are huge T!m Holtz fans.

Anyway, I couldn't wait until our class to play with the Dear Lizzy line so I bought a few things from my LSS and this is what I created. The tray is from 7 Gypsies.

I used the Sizzix 3d Flower die to create the tray of flowers below.
I created two of the flowers below from satin and the other one is fabric paper from the Dear Lizzy line.

Baby Sophia

Hey there fellow scrappers. My sister Michelle (a scrapper herself) delivered her first baby on Monday morning. Unfortunately there were complications with both mom and baby. Michelle lost a lot of blood and had to have a transfusion. Her platelets are still low and may have to stay in the hospital longer than we though.

Baby Sophia is in the NICU and will be there for at least 3 weeks. She has meconium aspiration. She had to have a chest tube put in because of a collapsed lung and is on a high frequency vent. We are asking for prayers for Sophia and Michelle. We have created a facebook page for Sophia. Please visit the page and pray for my sweet niece and sister.

New blog layout

Please bear with me while I make a few changes to my blog. I've had a couple of different looks over the last week or so. So far I'm liking the white background the best. Let me know what y'all think.

Love layout

It's been a long time since I had any desire to do a 12x12 layout. I mainly work on mini albums, ATCs and cards. But when I saw this Vintage Valentine paper from Fancy Pants, I thought I'd give it a go.

I made the flower myself from some satin ribbon. It's hard to see but I also have a layer of Bazzill tulle on top of the strip of satin ribbon.

It's a fairly simple layout but I'm pleased with it. I probably won't put it in an album. I'm hoping to find a nice frame to hang it in.

Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine mailboxes

Valentine's Day isn't just for lovers. It's a fun holiday for children too. Every year, I make a Valentine's Day card for my daughters and give them a small little gift and chocolate. This year I decided to do something different. I found the dollar mailboxes at Target, decorated them, and filled them with 14 different notes, fun facts, coupons and more.

I'm excited to watch them read the little surprises each day through Valentine's Day. Once the 14th is over, they can put these cute little mailboxes in their rooms until next year.
