Maya Road envelope mini

When I saw the Maya Road envelopes at Anthologies, I couldn't pass them up. They were all so cute! I decided to use them to create a mini album. I used Making Memories Just Chillin' paper and die cuts to cover the envelopes and make the tags. It was a bit of work but I think it was worth it.

My December Daily 09

Just wanted to share a few pictures of my December Daily. After looking at the Flickr group of the December Daily's, I realized that mine is very different from others. I created mine out of lunch bags and I embellished my pages much more than the others. I plan on doing most of my journaling on tags that will slip into the bags.

I used a few different paper lines including Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly, Making Memories Mistletoe, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses and DCWV Christmas paper stack from a couple of years ago.

Earth Love mini

I've had my Earth Love paper for a while but was busy with other things and finally got around to making a mini out of it. I LOVE this line from Cosmo Cricket.

How are the December Daily's coming? I have my pictures printed out but still need to work on the journaling. I know the point is to take time each day to take the photo, print the photo and do the journaling but I'm doing well just getting the pictures taken. =)

A few things I've been working on

My little one is walking now so she's keeping me quite busy. But I have managed to get a few things created. When I started working on my December Daily for this year, I realized that I wanted to create one for last year since that's when Ella was born. So this is what I came up with.

I joined a Christmas Tag swap at Life on the {Scrap}beach .
Below is my creation. I used my Cricut and the Christmas Cheer cartridge to make the tag itself, the tree and the gift. I used stickles to dress up the tree and the ribbon on the gift. Then I embossed the to and from. I'm excited to see what tags I get back!

I have a few other things to share but I'll save them for another post. I hope you all are enjoying this holiday season. I am looking forward to spending time with family and eating good food. =)

Halloween Mini

Hey there! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. My sister always throws a big bash. Last year her theme was the 70's. This year it's the 80's. I can't wait to get all dressed up in my neon shirt, leg warmers, and wear my hair in a pony tail on the side! This year's party is going to be a blast.

I decided to make the mini album before the party this year because I just finished the mini album for last year's party this summer. Yeah, I was a little behind. :)

For this mini I used Bo Bunny's Boo Crew Halloween paper & flowers, stickles, Tim Holtz's Grungeboard & Distress Crackle Paint, Martha Stewart's spider web felt ribbon & Drippy Goo punch, a couple Jenni Bowlin mini bingo cards, American Crafts Halloween ribbon & Thickers, and a Maya Road sheer mini album. I hope you like it.

Craft Craving Chicas

My sister and I went to the opening day of a new scrapbook store in our area, Anthologies, and I got to meet Lisa from Craft Craving Chicas. I can't believe we we were all crazy enough to try shopping on opening day!

Lisa is super nice and has a great website that offers mini album kits for a very reasonable price. Check out their website here: http://www.craftcravingchicas.blogspot.com/

I'm back!

I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post. It's been busy around our house. Alexis started 5th grade. She's in choir and orchestra and has so much homework this year! Ella is on the verge of walking. She's pulling up on everything she can get to which means she's been keeping me even more busy than normal. I also found out that my sister, Michelle and her husband Joey are expecting! The whole family is super excited. Football season started. Go Cowboys! On top of all that, we've had about a billion birthdays to celebrate.

Anyway, I did get to finish the August GGS mini. Marion sent out K & Co. Que Sera Sera. I decided to make the mini for my sister since she's expecting.

A few weeks ago, I got to go to CKC San Marcos with my sister-in-law and her aunt. It was a lot of fun. The vendor faire seemed smaller than GASC but it was definitely worth seeing. We took the class A Peek into my Week. Below is my version.

I'm working on my December Daily in the meantime. I know Christmas is a couple months off but I have a feeling that these next couple of months are going to go by fast.

August GGS mini

Just wanted to share the mini I made for my trade buddy Brenda. I used Basic Grey's Two Scoops. I also added a closure, something I had not done before. I hope Brenda likes it.

Switching things up a bit

I've been so busy working on mini albums that I haven't made a layout in ages. I thought it was about time and I had the perfect pictures to use. These pictures were taken at my parent's 25th anniversary party. It was the first picture of me and my girls so of course I had to scrap it.
I received my August GGS kit in the mail today! I'm going to try to finish my August GGS kit to trade before I start on the kit to keep. We'll see how that goes!

Stop by Stephanie's blog for a chance to win some pretty sweet blog candy.

July GGS Mini

Better late than never right? Well, this is the July mini I made from GGS. Marion sent us Basic Grey's Sugared. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was perfect for pictures of my little Ella. I had fun making this mini. And it was great to look through picture of Ella when she was first born.

I've started on my August GGS kit to trade. I'm trying something different with this mini and so far so good. I'm anxious to get my August GGS kit to make. It's K & Co. Que Sera Sera.

I hadn't worked on an actual layout for a while so I made one of me and my girls that I will post later this week. I'm also having a ton of fun playing with Tim Holtz's Grungeboard. I'm thinking about putting together a video of all the things I've discovered you can do with Grungeboard.

It's been a while

July has been a very busy month for us. My husband and I painted our living room and reading area. We also replaced the carpeting with hardwood flooring. It was a hard task but definitely worth it.

In the midst of that, my sisters and I planned a surprise 25th wedding anniversary party for our parents. We had our grandparents from North Carolina fly in and our aunt from Indiana. Mom and Dad were very surprised! We were so happy that we pulled it off.

I did get some scrapping done. I finally finished my mini for Amanda and put it in the mail today. I hope she likes it. I used Cosmo Cricket's Everafter paper. I also finished my Basic Grey Sugared mini from Girls Gone Scrappy. I'll post pictures of that later.

Sew Grateful mini

Ever heard of evalicious? She's the one that makes the vintage flower embellishments and sells them on Etsy. You can find her store here: http://www.evalicious.etsy.com/.

Anyway, I purchased a Sew Grateful mini album kit from her and wanted to share pictures of the finished product.

I had a lot of fun putting this album together. She had me using the iron & sewing. That's the most action my iron has seen from me in years!
