I had a really great time working on this month's DT challenge over at More Paper Than Shoes. Halloween is one of my most favorite times of the year. Anna challenged us to not use orange or yellow. What??? What is Halloween without orange right? Well, it was a challenge not to use orange but I made it work. I focused on purple, green and black. The challenge requirements were ribbon, glitter, a handmade flower, and embossing.
I used an svg file to cut the banner bases from Co'ordinations cardstock. The Co'ordinations Core Couture paper has glitter already in it! It was perfect for this project. I used crepe paper to made the medallions and to string the banner. I cut out the cat, spider, cauldron, and a raven from the October 31st Cricut cartridge. I added some American Crafts ribbon and a few Making Memories embellishments. I used Tim Holtz texture fades as the embossing part of the challenge to complete the project. Of course I can't create anything without using Tim Holtz somewhere in the project!
Head on over to the MPTS blog to check out the other fabulous projects created by the design team.
